As the year comes to a close I always spend extra time thinking about all the blessings in my life. More than ever, I’m grateful for my family. I can’t help it, but my grandkids are at the top of my list! My children may be too old to play, but I’m definitely not and the grands are perfect playmates. Last Sunday I went to Williams, AZ and rode the Polar Express with my granddaughter, Reiley. What a blast that was! I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year—and manages to find time to just play.
We are rolling into 2022 with a couple of sales beginning today, December 30th. On the quilt side, Christmas is 25% off. That’s packets, precuts, panels, kits and fabric off the bolt--1 yard minimum for the sale price if we cut if off the bolt for you. Now, none of us want to think about what will happen if we don’t find a buyer before I retire in April, but I know the bead side will be harder to liquidate so I’m starting a little early. All pendants are 50% off and our gemstones are 30% off. Lucky for all you beaders, right?
In the meantime, we are eagerly looking ahead to the Road to California Quilt Show January 19 to 22. We have Road tickets for sale at the shop. They are 19.00 CASH ONLY for a multi-day wrist band (the only way they offer tickets.) You have from now through Monday, January 17th to purchase at the shop. I return the unsold tickets to the venue when I leave for the show--please make sure you get them early so you don’t miss out.
Also coming up, the Spring Fling takes place March 3, 4, 5. We are already busy cutting up fat quarters to give away to runners. The fabric this year is Utopia from Timeless Treasures. It is truly a stunning collection! Each shop will give away a fat quarter of a different fabric from the line while supplies last—see What’s Happening and What’s New for more information about the run and to see some of the fabrics.
And, in case you are wondering, yes, we are having our Annual Yard Sale. Mark your calendar for February 5th (time to be announced.) We’ll share more information on that next week.
Read on to see What's Happening and What's New--come see us soon!
As always, happy quilting and beading to all of you.

2022 Spring Fling Quilt Run
|We love to see what our customers are doing--Marilyn from New Mexico shared these photos with us. Using the technique she learned from the Inside Out Placemat pattern, Marilyn made some wall hangings with favorite Kaffe prints and 2 molas that she bought on a trip years ago. She took the pattern-makers suggestion to use up orphan blocks--here are a few of her creations.|

These beautiful prints have rich, saturated color and a touch of gold. The panel (on the right) is simply mesmerizing. Below left is the main prints--that's our fat-quarter give-away during the run. On the right is a marble print from the collection. We have several blenders, a leaf "toss" with the leaves you see at the bottom of the tree, a border print, a more open version of the main print and more.
Classes, Classes, Classes!
|Theresa and Rose Mary are teaching limited classes in person at the shop. Here's how it works: to schedule with Rose Mary, give the shop a call. Theresa's classes are from 10 to 1 most Tuesdays and Thursdays. Class dates are listed on the website. The first 3 students to register on a given day determine what will be taught. There are links to Theresa's catalogs of 1 and 2 session classes below and on the website class pages. Theresa will contact you by phone to confirm your choice, talk about supplies, answer questions and schedule other sessions, if needed.|
