Hello, everyone.
You won’t believe the back room--it’s full of new Kaffe Fassett, Moda and Riley Blake fabrics. And we have no room on the shelves to show it off properly! My wonderful Mary has taken a few pictures (see What’s New below) but they just don’t do the the huge quantity of fabric justice, so I am doing a live Facebook video on Thursday morning at 9:30. (click here to visit our Facebook page) I’ll show you some other amazing things, too--plus I’m going to talk about our newest Mystery, Barbara’s Antiques. If, for some reason, you haven’t signed up for the Mystery yet, tomorrow (the 30th) is the last day. This is a fast, fun, incredibly easy mystery that everyone should be doing. Plus, it’s a scrappy quilt designed for fat quarter--so you can use up fabrics that you already have at home. And, you get to buy new fabric when you use up your old ones. (There’s always a method to my madness. LOL.) Oh—and if you don’t have time to stitch it up right now, sign up anyway. Print the pattern steps as they arrive and save them for that day when you are looking at your collection of fat quarters wondering what to do with them.
I hope you are all planning to join us for The Reindeer Dash which runs October 7th, 8th and 9th. I decided to give everybody some help to purchase a little gift for themselves. During the Dash I am offering a 15% discount on one of my all-time favorite sewing room helpers. If you don’t have a wool ironing mat, well, let me just say that these mats are amazing. They heat fabric evenly on both sides and, for those of you who like steam, the mats absorb steam so that it really gets in there to do its job. Your blocks will lay as flat as a pancake. Okay--personally I like my pancakes fluffy--but still, it’s amazing. The experts say that half of sewing is proper pressing—this mat makes a huge difference in your quilt making. So, when you’re on the Reindeer Dash, my gift to you is 15% off these mats while they last. I’m sorry but shipping has gotten so expensive that we can’t offer them to be shipped at this time.
If you were a prize winner during the Bead Hop, remember this year prizes can be picked up at the “home store” you designated on your registration. You have till October 31 to pick them up.

Read on to see more of the treasures we have for you. And if you are ready for an in-person beading class, check out Theresa's projects in the Classes section or give the shop a call to schedule something with Rose Mary.

Happy quilting and beading, everyone--I hope to see you soon.

Look at this charming display Letty put together for us. Just gets you in the mood to start your holiday projects, doesn't it? Two of Rose Mary's patterns are featured--Rose Mary inserted our Reindeer Dash block into the a steering wheel cover (It's Too Darn Hot) and Letty made new samples of Rose Mary's Yo Yo Christmas Tree. I love, love, love the candle holder bases she used.

On The Bead Side

Theresa is now teaching at the shop. Here's how it works: Theresa's classes are from 10 to 1 most Tuesdays. Class dates are listed on the website. The first 3 students to register on a given day determine what will be taught. There are links to Theresa's catalogs of 1 and 2 session classes below and on the website class pages. Theresa will contact you by phone to confirm your choice, talk about supplies, answer questions and schedule other sessions, if needed.
