Hello, everyone.
I’m back! Hanging out with family and friends for two weeks was so much fun—not to mention relaxing. But now it’s time to get back to work. There’s so much to do and so much going on.
So, I talked with Susie Contratto back in August and she is coming to the desert for a visit! If you’d like to stop by and say hello to Susie, she will be hanging out at the shop on Tuesday, September 21 between 2 & 4pm. Come on down and get a Susie fix!
I just found out that the Houston Quilt Market has been canceled. It would have been my last market and I was really looking forward to saying goodbye to everybody that I’ve known for years. I understand that the Festival is still on, but many of the main vendors for Market decided not to attend this year so it’s not going to happen. I’m very sad about this. Maybe I’ll just have to go next year as a participant...
The Bead Hop was extraordinary. Everyone had so much fun—including my staff. The official numbers haven’t come in yet but when they do I will let you know. We’ll be pulling the prize winners on Friday, September 24th and winners will be able to pick up prizes at their home stores on Monday, September 27th. Please check the web site for a complete list. Good luck to all! And thank you so very much for participating. For those of you who weren’t able to come see us, some of our deals will still be going on for a while. We also have a few Make-It-Take-It Earring Kits left. You can purchase them in the store or on our website.
The Reindeer Dash is just a few weeks away. Our block has been designed and we’re busy making samples. Rose Mary used the block to make one of her It's Too Darn Hot! Steering Wheel Covers. I love it! The block is free to runners and we will have kits for sale during the run. Remember, it’s the big 15th anniversary of the Reindeer Dash and bags with our new logo on them will be available for purchase. Hope to see all of you October 7-9.

Read on to see more of the treasures we have for you. And if you are ready for an in-person beading class, check out Theresa's projects in the Classes section or give the shop a call to schedule something with Rose Mary.
Happy quilting and beading, everyone--I hope to see you soon.

This pattern book by It’s Sew Emma is all fun, no fright! This whimsical quilt tips a pointy black hat to some of the hallmarks of Halloween: black cats on broomsticks, flying bats and witchy hats, cauldrons and pumpkin patches! Finishing at 57.5” x 64.5”, there will be plenty of time to make this quilt before the big night.

This bonus table runner is included. Rose Mary has plans to play with some of the block patterns--they can be made individually or in any combination for other holiday projects.

Classes, Classes, Classes!

On The Bead Side

Theresa is now teaching at the shop. Here's how it works: Theresa's classes are from 10 to 1 most Tuesdays. Class dates are listed on the website. The first 3 students to register on a given day determine what will be taught. There are links to Theresa's catalogs of 1 and 2 session classes below and on the website class pages. Theresa will contact you by phone to confirm your choice, talk about supplies, answer questions and schedule other sessions, if needed.
