Bead Hop News, Christmastime from Tim Holtz, September Sale

Monica's Message
A Message from Monica

Hello, everyone.
I hope you’re going to read this in its entirety--there’s a lot of important stuff in this message, not just a bunch of fluff! (LOL)
The Bead Hop starts on Thursday, September 9. That’s next week! How did it get to be September already, that’s what I want to know. First, Letty and Dalia have packaged all the kits for our Make-it-Take-it earrings—they are gorgeous. We have four different kits for this project ranging from $8 to $10 depending on which color you choose: Faceted Turquoise, Coffee Agate, Cloudy Quartz or Mystic Matrix Quartz. These swingy earrings are lightweight and measure about 3.5" long x 1.5" wide. We are doing it a little differently this year—you won’t actually make your earrings in the store. Instead, there is a video you can view at home to make these super simple earrings. The kits will be available on the website as well as in the store.

Cloudy Quartz, polished

Coffee Agate, polished

Faceted Turquoise

Mystic Matrix Quartz, matte

Second, please, please, please pre-register for the hop. It will save time for everyone. Just click here to register, see all the prizes you could win and get your map to the shops.
We are also giving away gifts with purchase during the Hop. If you spend $25 or more, you receive two darling charms (a bird nest & some birds on a wire,) spend $50 or more and you receive the charms plus a great 8.5” x 7” Treasure Mat from Beadsmith, and if you spend over $100 you get the charms plus the mat AND a travel light (3 settings & folds into it's base.) Purchases must be on one transaction and only one of each gift per customer during the event, while supplies last.
Plus we’ve got some amazing specials going on for all of you beaders. Look for the Swarovski Crystal grab bags special—these are valued at $30 or more and we are selling them for just $10. And, all of our pendants will be 30% off. These pendants are mostly one-of-a-kind, hand-picked by yours truly at the Tucson Bead Show.
As I mentioned, I’ll be in Idaho visiting my mother during this event, but my fabulous staff is ready and can’t wait to see all of you.
Saturday, September 18 is National Sew a Jelly Roll Day. I can’t help it—that really makes me giggle. But, it will be fun--stay tuned for more on this next week. We’re busy putting pre-cut strips, patterns and books on sale for 10% off through the month of September. I just threw this at Mary today, so give her a little time to make it happen…
Guess what? I found another Mystery Quilt for us to make--this one is going to help you use up all those fat quarter bundles you bought because you couldn’t live without them. How nice of me to help you out! Right? The Mystery will be available to purchase online only and is just $12. No kits this time—if you have used up all of your fat quarters and don’t have any in your fabric collection (ummm….are you a real quilter???) you can, of course, come in and buy some. This is a Speed Mystery--we will email instructions every day instead of once a week. Now, get out those fat quarters and bundles so you will be ready to roll the first week of October. As always, I’ll have a YouTube video for you to watch once the pattern is available to get you ready for your Fat Quarter Speed Mystery Quilt.
Speaking of Mystery Quilts, don't forget about the kits we have left from our 2021 mystery quilt retreats. We have sold over half of them. You can see those that are left below in What's New.
Read on to see more of the treasures we have for you. And if you are ready for an in-person beading class, check out the Theresa's projects in the Classes section.
Happy quilting and beading, everyone--I hope to see you soon.

What's Happening

Mark your calendars! We are so excited that this year the SCLBSA is having a “Welcome Back” shop hop. An extra day has been added to each weekend, hopefully reducing the number of Hoppers at one time in each shop. Click here to pre-register--that helps all of us plan ahead.

I'm still collecting Love Bugs. We'll donate them to the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. Reach out to children in need--make a soft, cuddly Love Bug with our free pattern. This is part of a national project--Click Here to read more.
