Hello, everyone.
Last week was a whirlwind for me. I took off early Tuesday morning and headed to the Quilt Reno show. I really didn’t know what to expect for this first show in more than a year. What wonderful show! It was unbelievable--thousands of people came to shop and see the quilts. And, it felt good to be back in my booth, sharing what I love and talking to so many quilters. I saw some of our old customers and met some new. I want to thank everyone for their continuing support. I’m getting my groove back and looking forward to the Denver show in July.
A couple of big “happenings” this week—first, on Thursday, Letty and I will be live on Facebook at 9:30 AM to launch the Sew a Little Love Bug project. This is a partnership between Moda and the Creativity Shell to support at-risk youth and to help kids learn a practical skill—sewing! Make simple cuddly Love Bug pillows from 5 fat quarters—on your own or with a young person. If you’d like to donate them, drop them off at the shop and we will make sure they find a good home with children in need through local charities such as the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. Ask for a brochure with the free pattern and information about the project at the shop.

Plus, this weekend, as Americans honor fathers everywhere, we are having our annual Father’s Day Sale. Shoppers on Friday and Saturday with get a discount on their purchases. The more you spend, the bigger the discount. Take a look at What’s Happening below for the scoop.
Wow—things are really backed up at the fabric houses. Orders are delayed for several reasons--a lack of greige goods to print with ships backed up at the harbor, the trucking industry being overloaded and the warehouses being understaffed. So many of our holiday and winter fabrics, which were supposed to be here in May, are just now trickling in. I’ve been talking to the companies and it looks like a lot of these fabrics will be finally arriving the rest of this month and in July. This week we unpacked some beautiful Winter Botanicals and our order of Merry and Bright Jelly Rolls. Some Halloween charms and Jelly Rolls also arrived, plus some beautiful cozy plaids from Marcus Brothers. And, my favorite new line this week is a novelty collection called Starship. Who can resist a scholarly-looking fox gazing at the stars through a telescope? Take a look at What’s New below to see them all.
Don't forget to check out the Zoom classes Theresa is offering. She's got dates up for the next couple of months. It’s fun to take a class in your own workspace!

Happy quilting and beading, everyone--I hope to see you soon!
