Good morning everyone!

Patric decided I need some R&R so we’re taking a week off to let me recharge my batteries. With so many things going on I’ve just become overloaded. When we get back home I’ll be ready to go full speed ahead.
It’s already time to start pulling kits for our Desert Quilting Retreats—fabrics have been rolling in and every time we see something ordered months ago with the retreats in mind we get SO excited. Plus, I’ll be getting ready for our booth at Quilt Reno June 10-12. I am definitely looking forward to things getting back to normal in the quilt world. We are putting last year behind us with gratitude that we made it through!

Fabrics really are arriving every day--the store is packed with new things. So many of you are coming out to see us from all over Southern California and I truly appreciate it. It’s nice to see people enjoying themselves again. So, if you haven’t been out to Monica’s in awhile you’re in for a treat. Pack up your car, grab your quilting and beading friends and don’t forget to bring those projects that are in need of a little help from just the right fabric or embellishment.
Preparations for The Quilt Run are also well underway--the website is up, flyers are at the store and shops are getting ready by cutting fat quarters and making the blocks for the free patterns we give away during the run. Our block, Cactus Garden, was once again designed by Letty’s daughter, Vanessa. It’s gorgeous—I can’t wait to share it with you. And our own Mary Gorfine, who teaches our Machine Quilting classes, did a phenomenal job quilting it. We will have kits available for purchase during the run. If there are any leftover after the Run we will put them up on the website. Be sure to check it out when you stop by the shop.
If you sent us a photo of your mystery table runner it's up on the website for everyone to admire. Send your photos to Mary at: info@monicasquiltandbead.com. If you have trouble photographing your quilts, dig out our last mystery email for some tips to help take better photos. Click here to see the ones we have received so far.
Don't forget to check out the Zoom classes Theresa is offering. She's got dates up for the next couple of months. It’s fun to take a class in your own workspace!

Happy quilting and beading, everyone--I hope to see you soon!

We practice social distancing and other state/local guidelines to keep each other safe in the shop. Sanitize your hands at one of the stations we've set up as you enter the store, wear a face mask and stay six feet away from others. Thank you!
