Purchase now through February 25

Good morning everyone.
There is just so much going on it's hard to know where to start! The shop is buzzing with activity—I’m gonna take a deep breath and just plunge in…
So, we are very excited about our Facebook Live event this Thursday. I will be showing you five new books from Donna Robertson. Each of her books has eight fast, fun and easy throw-size quilt patterns that are perfect for those special occasions--babies, anniversaries, graduations--and charity quilts. Best of all, each pattern only needs 3 yards of fabric! If you want to make a bigger quilt, instructions are included. We made up a bunch of 3-yard quilts for you to see. Plus, we put together 3-yard bundles with these quilts in mind. There are 12 different bundles--a nice variety of colors and styles--and at just $30 each they are a great bargain. Her books retail for $16.50 each--the books and bundles are available in the shop and on our website. Make sure you tune in to our Facebook Live Event at 9:30 am this Thursday, February 18. Take a look at What’s New below links to the books and bundles.
Oh, boy! We launched our first online Mystery Quilt called Quilting at the Hideout on February 14th and it is already a huge success. I love mystery quilts and wanted to do something that would be fun for all of us, including the snowbirds that weren’t able to come to the desert this year. If you haven’t signed up yet, you have until February 25th. Please note, if you are ordering the Mystery Quilt without a kit, choose “Pick Up” at check out to avoid shipping charges. We don’t have a way to override this in the system. Sigh. It’s always something, isn’t it?
So, here’s how it works: The finished size is 60” x 71.5” and there are 7 steps plus cutting instructions. A coupon for 15% off your backing (purchased from us) is included. On February 26th we will email the cutting instructions and a link to a YouTube “welcome” video. From then on we will email you one step every 3 days. The last step will go out on March 19 and we’ll tell you how to share your finished top/quilt with all the Mystery Quilters.
If you did not order a kit, fabric requirements will go out by Tuesday of next week, including instructions for choosing your fabrics.
If you ordered the Mystery Quilt without a kit and were charged shipping, I will personally call you by Friday to issue a refund. We can’t send it back through the website as that is an “all or nothing” return. Please, please, please do not call the shop--we are on a skeleton crew and the staff on the floor isn’t able to help. Thank you, everyone, for your understanding in this new endeavor.
The Spring fling is just around the corner. My Hugs and Kisses fabric  from Riley Blake was still out on the ship in the Long Beach Harbor last week and we needed to start cutting and packaging the fat quarters. So, I changed my color from Lipstick to Raspberry. It looks great in the Sandals pattern that you'll get from us! I hope to see all of you during this fun mini quilt run. We want to keep everyone safe, so please practice social distancing in my store. Masks are required and everyone is to hit the hand sanitizing stations at either door as you enter. As always, I will be in our classroom to welcome you so just wash your hands and come on back!
Now on to the bead side. We are up and running in that department, too. I have re-ordered all the seed beads and Delicas to fill any empty slots and I’ll be ordering findings next. Usually I get to to handpick findings in Tucson, but since I didn’t go this year I’m having to order online. It’s a little difficult because you don’t really know what you’re getting. I want to touch and see them in person! But, as we know this year is a little different. So thank you for hanging in there with me. I really appreciate it.
Happy quilting and beading, everyone--Hope to see you soon.

We practice social distancing and other state/local guidelines to keep each other safe in the shop. Sanitize your hands at one of the stations we've set up as you enter the store, wear a face mask and stay six feet away from others. Thank you!
