Our online store has new items and many of your favorite patterns, notions, kits and more! We're adding things every week so check back often
Here's a link to our on-line shop.

Good morning, everyone. I hope you are all safe, happy, and healthy.
I also hope you are planning to join us in the alleyway behind the shop this Saturday, January 23, from 10 to 4 for our 9th Annual Yard Sale. I’ve been rolling bundles and putting together scrap bags, collecting this and that from both sides of the store and pricing them to fly out the door. REMEMBER THIS IS A CASH ONLY EVENT! If it rains we'll set up underneath the eaves in front and along the side of our building. Masks are required and we will practice social distancing so please be patient. I will have chairs stationed outside in case you need to wait before entering the sale area. Can’t wait to see you!
Fabrics are rolling in now that the holidays are so “last year” and all the fabric warehouses have finished their inventories. There’s a darling collection from Riley Blake called Sleep Tight, some Grunge Junior Jelly Rolls and a fabulous group of fabrics designed by McKenna Ryan called Vintage Farmhouse. Northcott’s Foliage is just plain beautiful. We love Hoffman 1895 “solid” batiks--41 bolts came in last week! The shelves are overflowing with treasures. Now’s a good time to bring in your batik prints and find that perfect solid looking piece to go with it. Take a look at What’s New below to see these fabrics.
On the bead side, we’ve added Tulip beading needles (Rose Mary’s favorite!) to our Online Store. You’ll find several sizes and 3 different styles.
Looking ahead to February, our Game Day Sale is still on for February 7th from 10 to 3. Everything in the shop is 20% off (except books, Lindstrom Tools and items that have already been marked down--no double dipping this time.) You must purchase a yard or more if we cut your fabric from the bolt to get the discount. This is a good time to get your backs, stock up on batting, thread...grab some essentials or treat yourself to something you've been eyeing.
I want to thank everyone for the continuing support during this unusual time. Day-to-day operations are a little difficult and I just truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Happy quilting and beading, everyone--can't wait to see you soon.

-Monica

We practice social distancing and other state/local guidelines to keep each other safe in the shop. Sanitize your hands at one of the stations we've set up as you enter the store, wear a face mask and stay six feet away from others. Thank you!

Face Live schedule:
baffling your quilts

January 21st, I’ll showcase an Auntie’s Two clever technique for quilting-as-you-go called Baffling your Quilts. This is a fast and fun way to make the quilt top and backing all at once. For those of you who make charity quilts this is a real time-saver. The booklet shows you how to make 6 different projects. I know that once you get the hang of it this will become one of your "Go-To" techniques.

January 28th we’ll explore Paper Foundation piecing.

beading needles

Beading Needles in 4 sizes plus an assortment package are available

Rose Mary's pick!
Tulip Beading Needles are revolutionizing modern beading. These Japanese-made bead needles have an eye that is easy to thread and a slightly rounded tip to prevent piercing or splitting your bead thread. Stiff yet springy, they are less likely to bend than other beading needles you may have used. While Tulip Beading Needles are more expensive than other beading needles on the market today, we're sure once you try them you'll agree they are worth it.
