After-Christmas holiday fabaric sale, Live with the Southern California Local Bead Store Association and more

Good morning, everyone.
     Well Christmas is almost upon us. I hope everyone is safe, healthy and happy. And ready for the holiday. I’m ready—there’s not much going on at my home this year since we are all doing what we can to protect each other during this pandemic. I’m going to totally miss my kids and grandkids this Christmas but I figure if we give up this one, we’ll have future holidays together. I’m dropping off the presents in Orange County on the 24th—we’ll see everyone outside at my son’s home briefly but will head straight home afterwards. With Patric working at the hospital we are extra careful.
     I’m really glad we redesigned our Holiday Sale. I hated giving up the party, but making it two days instead of 1 (3 days in our Online Store since we now close on Sundays at the shop) and changing it from a progressive sale to 20% off the whole time--plus double dipping on sale items--worked beautifully. We were never too busy or had too many people in the store.
     Congratulations to Sharon Rocher and Meredith Weber, winners of our $100 gift certificates--thanks to all of you who supported this year’s Bra and Underwear Drive, we collected 932 items! An extra big thank you goes out to those who took the time to mail in items for the drive—we didn’t expect that and, well, I just can’t thank you enough. My friend Angie (we went to high school together) is one of the administrators at the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission and is very, very thankful for all that you do to help them.

     As you know, being in business is tough right now and I can’t thank you enough for helping keep the doors open. But, I don’t have enough money to buy all the new fabrics we want!!! So, I’ve decided to try and fix that with an After Christmas Sale. From December 26th thru December 31st all Christmas and Halloween will be 30% off. This includes kits, precuts and cut yardage (fabric off the bolt, minimum 1 yard cut.)

   So, our next annual event is our BIG Yard Sale. This your chance to pick up grab bags of scraps, store samples and anything else we are ready to let go of while we clean out the back room to get ready for a new year. Usually we hold the sale in our back alley but this will be done differently, too, since I don’t want too many people gathering in a small place. I’m not sure exactly how it will work, but I already know we’re not going to start early in the morning—especially this year I don’t want anyone to catch a cold! Mark your calendars--the date will be January 23. Check future emails for the time but save that date!

     Remember, we practice social distancing and other state/local guidelines to keep each other safe in the shop. Sanitize your hands at one of the stations we've set up as you enter the store, wear a face mask and stay six feet away from others. Thank you!
