Free Project Bead class next week & classes thru December

Monica's Message
A Message from Monica

Hi, Everyone!
I hope everyone is staying cool. I am watering my plants twice a day now because they look like they need it--we are now in the dog days of summer. We had such a nice spring and June was lovely (anything under 110 doesn’t count as summer!) but we have heated up big time and I think it might be here to stay until fall. BUT inside the store it’s a cool 74 degrees. So stop on by.
Our first Desert Quilting Retreat weekend is came and went so fast. Everyone loved this year's quilt and said it was their favorite of all. By the end of the weekend, most people had finished their tops or were putting their blocks together. It really depended on how much wine was being drunk or how much talking and visiting was going on. Lol. But everyone had a great time. Week two starts on Friday—I can’t wait to see you!
Letty and her girls have stepped in to help while Evelia is recovering from a little surgery. The girls have put together all our new kits for the fall season and my good friend Kaye has been sewing up a storm so we can have samples. By the way, Evelia is fine—just healing and getting her strength back. I think she might finally be getting older!
diamond duo bracelet  Rose Mary has been helping me with the upcoming Bead Hop—next week she is teaching a free class as part of Project Bead. If you’ve been thinking about learning to make jewelry, the Diamond Duo Bracelet is a great way to get your feet wet. If you are already an experienced beader, come in and have some fun making this fast project. The free class is August 8th. You do need to
pre-register and choose your time: 10am, noon or 2pm. The kit with everything you need is just $16.00. Give us a call during business hours to sign up.
The Bead Shop Hop is next month--Friday through Sunday, Sept. 6-8 and 13-15. The "cartoons" theme will be so much fun--you'll receive a free charm at each shop. Visit three shops and you'll also get a commemorative charm.charms

Mary is almost finished putting our calendar and classes for September through December up on the web site. We’ll start sharing them in this weekly blast next week and will let you know when the newsletter is available for download. Remember--even though the class schedule for August is not on the site, our bead teachers do have dates available. Call us to see when you can schedule a class with your fave teacher.
Check out What's New below to see some of the things we put out on the floor last week.
We hope to see you soon.
