Monica's Message
A Message from Monica

Well, good morning!
I could get used to staying home. I get so much done--my yard is back to looking amazing. I started cleaning out the shed. Oooof--what a job that is going to be--and I got to see some of my friends and my granddaughter Reiley. My life is good.
Plus I have time to sew. I am working on another retreat quilt. I love this pattern. So easy and it looks great with any fabric!
Miguel and I leave Saturday for the last show of this season. We head to Castle Rock, CO and will stay with my little sister again. I can't believe I was just there in May and get to see family again so soon! We plan to have a little R&R in Santa Fe and Los Ojos on the way up with our good friends (and fellow vendors) Cindy and her daughter Staci from Custom Creations. Cindy and I both feel our kids deserve a few days of vacation on the way to the last show.
Kaffee Fassett fat quarter mystery bundles    The shop is super quiet these days. We are getting a lot of cleaning done. We REALLY need to do that in the store room. Letty has been getting it organized but there is more to do.
So, what happens when Free Spirit cleans out their "back room?" You score big time! We have a limited quantity of Kaffe Fassett Fat Quarter Mystery bundles--20 fat quarters for just $42. Wha-a-at? Yup. That works out to a little over $8/yd. Get 'em while you can--when they are gone, they're gone.
Lots of fabulous kits are being put together for the Southern California Quilters Run coming up July 11-14 & 18-21--I hope to see all of you coming through the shop during the run.
And, don't forget the 2019 Row by Row Experience which starts June 21. You can see our Taste the Experience row in What's Happening below.
Check out What's New below to see some of the beads and fabric we put out on the floor last week.
Read on to see what's new and to see some of the classes coming up. We hope to see you soon.

What's New

Lots of things come into the store each week--some new, some returning. We can't share everything, but here are some of our favorites.

Take a look at Mama Got Rocks on page 34 of the new Beadwork magazine--we have similar components to make this stylish piece! Wendy Ellsworth's gorgeous cover design is an explosion of texture and color, while Agnieszka Watts' Color Block Bangles spotlight bold color combinations. Look into Designer of the Year Susan Sassoon's beading studio and a sneak peek at this year's Bead Fest Philadelphia.

color fusion
Here's what Laura Heine has to say about her new line of floral print called Color Fusion: "Color fusion is the merging, melding and blending between the colors of the fabrics, the designs and the thread combined. Each process that one goes through to complete a quilt is part of the color fusion." We have 8 different prints.
