A Message from Monica

Hi, Everyone.
What a wonderful weekend I had at the graduation. We spent time with friends and lots of family in the Denver area. I am so very lucky.
So much fabric! Boxes and boxes keep arriving with the fabrics I need for your Desert Quilting Retreat kits. This year’s mystery quilt is so easy--and really fun! We do have a few spots in the weekend of August 9, 10 and 11. Please call the shop and ask for me on Tuesday or Wednesday if you are interested in joining us.
Thursday I leave for the Santa Rosa quilt show. Again, off I go....Can’t wait to see my Northern California quilting friends.
The summer does slow down though and many of us like to get out of the heat, so my sewing teachers are going to take a formal break. There will be no sewing/quilting classes in July and August. If you've been thinking about taking a class, they are scheduled through June and will be back in September. Oh--Wednesday night group, no worries--Sit and Sew will go all summer (with exceptions.)
The beading teachers will carry on as usual, but the classes won't wire 101 projecthave summer dates on the website so you'll need to schedule directly with the shop. We'll post their "teaching days" like we used to do before we had class registration on the website. As always, the first two people to register determine what is taught that day. Here's a Wire 101 project one of Patricia's students made--perfect summer necklace!
Read on to see what's new and to see some of the classes coming up. We hope to see you soon.
-Monica
