A Message from Monica

Good Morning--and Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so happy to be home. Miguel and I vended at our last show for awhile this past weekend. And let me tell--you we were giddy with joy driving home! Sunday I hid out at my house and cooked all day. Dining out isn’t all it’s cut out to be. And, this Thanksgiving I only have 16 coming for dinner--unlike last year when we had 42. It will be a piece of cake.
This week Evelia and I have been going through all of our samples and on Black Friday we are putting them on sale. So, if you need that last minute quilt or bag for someone and didn’t get it made...well, stop by and pick one up! We are letting them go for a fraction of the cost.
Speaking of great gifts, please put our Unique Boutique on your calendar. Several of our staff members will be selling their beautiful creations on December 8 and 9. Don't miss this chance to pick up something...unique.
I still need more bras and underwear. Remember when you are out shopping for your families please pick up a few pairs for someone in need. Men, women, children—everyone needs underwear.
On the bead side we got in some beautiful daggers for fringes or surface embellishments. Last time we got them in they flew out the door. Make sure you ask to see them--check out the photos is What's New below..
Over 100 bolts of fabric came in—mostly blenders, batiks and polka dots. The supporting cast that make your main fabric the star of your quilt!
It's already week 9 of our Celebrate the Season event. This is your chance to stock up on items you need as the holidays approach. Take 20% off 3 yard cuts or more of fabric. Now is the time to get backing, backgrounds and borders for large quilts. On the bead side, take 15% off all chain--so many choices! Pick up your License to Shop and have it stamped each week to earn a chance to win Monica's Gift Certificates. You just need 4 stamps to qualify for the $25 GC drawing--there's still time if you pop in once a week between now and the end of December. You can see all the details in What's Happening below.
We offer great classes every day of the week. Click here to see our Blue Opus Zentanglecalendar, click here to download the 4th quarter newsletter, and here to see all of our classes on the web site. We are working on the 1st quarter of 2019 --most of the classes are on the site and the newsletter will be up on the site this weekend. Several guest teachers are on board this coming quarter: Deborah Pace is back with some terrific new Zentangle projects and a darling Vintage Sewing Book. You'll find her classes listed in Mixed Media under Quilting and Sewing. Hmm, maybe we should change that general category title... Linda Sullivan has several new classes including these Colourstruck Pillows--no pattern needed! Carolyn Reese brings us a colorful quilt and Dale Allen-Rowse returns with a cozy Deer Head Silhouette quilt.
